so what's new with you?

hey all! Sorry about the whole Mark Cohn cliffhanger thing. He's alive and well and going to be on 20/20 this weekend if you're interested. Personally, I'm not. I can't get in to those news shows. I don't really like to watch the news at all. I pretty well live the news working with all the criminals and all. Anyway, not everyone I work with is a criminal....just most of them!

There's not a lot going on here in Julieville...which, by the way, happened to be the winner between Julieville and Julietown. Work's been incredibly slow. I've had four or five jobs in the last four weeks. Usually I have about three a week, so I'm getting to the point where I need the work pretty badly. Also, if there's no work, there's no money. That's the downfall of being self-employed. Anyway, if you all could pray for work that would be awesome.

I was reading Amanda Groves' blog tonight, and it rocked my face off. First of all, I don't even know Amanda, but she's linked to most of your blogs so I started reading hers. But she said something about how we view the Bible is an indicator about our relationship with Christ. I've struggled with reading the Bible for a long time...probably since my nephew died about four years ago. That's a long time to be just kind of casually reading it. Looking back I also see how I've kind of been casually been with God. Seems like there's some things I need to sort though. Anyway, it was a great challenge for me to be in the Word more. I hope it challenges you to evaluate your time spent in the Word, too!

Well, that's it for me now except I have another prayer request. I've been dealing with some "stuff" lately. I'll expand on it later, but if you could just pray for the "stuff," that would rock my face off!

Peace out!
Julie

Hey Julie! Thanks for reading my blog! It's good to hear that people agree with me and I'm not alone in this boat...I know I need to make changes in my walk with Christ and Bible reading is a big deal for me right now, I don't do it enough! Oh, and now that you're checking in on me, I'll be checking in on you! Nice blog! Keep it up...by the way, freelance writing rocks!! I would love to get into that (but probably not court reporting, Ha! too much for me!!!)..I'll be prayin' for ya!!
