Okay. So I went to the hospital Wednesday and found out what the deal was, but I was too exhausted after a long day to update on here, but I'm here now and all is well...lol.
My friend's mom has to have bypass surgery. She has one artery completely blocked and one partially blocked. They were going in again this morning to do another heart cath to see if they could open the partially blocked artery. If they are able to get it open, then they're going to use that one for the bypass because if they use another heart artery, after 10 years there's a 90% chance that that artery will still be open. If they have to use one from the leg, then there's only like a 70% or 75% chance that that artery will still be open.
I didn't get a chance to talk to him about the results, but hopefully tomorrow I'll get an update and then I'll update you all on when the surgery is going to be! As of Wednesday, they were thinking that it would be Monday or Tuesday.
